What is Childcare Buddy?
Childcare Buddy helps your household build a provider shortlist, compare extra travel time, and keep every application moving with a clear next step.
Does Childcare Buddy tell me my position on a waitlist?
No. The app does not predict your waitlist position, wait time, or chance of getting a place. It shows a position only when a provider gives one to you, and keeps it private to your household.
How accurate are the commute figures?
They are estimates, and the app shows when each one was calculated. If directions are unavailable, it clearly shows a straight-line distance instead of a travel time.
Where is my household's data stored?
In your own iCloud account. You do not need to create a separate account with us, and 1532432 B.C. LTD. does not receive a copy of your household data. Sharing with another parent uses iCloud.
Does Childcare Buddy use analytics?
No. Childcare Buddy does not use analytics or tracking, and it does not send your household data to us.
Does the app send emails to providers for me?
No. Childcare Buddy prepares a draft in your mail app, where you review and send it yourself. Childcare Buddy cannot access your inbox.
How current is the provider information?
Provider information comes from British Columbia's public child care data and is included with the app. Childcare Buddy shows when the information was last updated, and you can correct provider details yourself.
How can I get help or delete my data?
