Privacy Policy for Childcare Buddy

This policy explains what Childcare Buddy saves, where your information is stored, how sharing works, and how you can get help or delete your data.

Childcare Buddy is provided by 1532432 B.C. LTD., Vancouver, Canada. For privacy questions, contact info@cs-game-production.com.

The short version

1532432 B.C. LTD. does not run a separate server for Childcare Buddy, receive a copy of your household data, or collect analytics. The information you save stays in your Apple iCloud account and is shared only with the person you invite.

Information the app saves

Childcare Buddy stores the information a childcare search needs, in your own iCloud account:

  • Your child's birth month and year. The app does not ask for, and does not store, a full date of birth.
  • Approximate home and work locations, the schedule you need, and your typical drop-off and pickup times.
  • The providers you are tracking, the stage each application has reached, next actions, owners, and due dates.
  • Your record of contact with providers, application confirmations, documents requested, and fees paid.
  • Tour notes and private household notes.
  • App preferences and settings.

Approximate locations are deliberate. A nearby intersection or a postal code is enough for the app to work, and the app explains why it is asking at the point of asking.

iCloud and household sharing

Childcare Buddy uses Apple's iCloud service, powered by CloudKit, to make your household data available across your Apple devices and share the same plan with one other parent. Apple handles that data under its iCloud terms and privacy policies. Apple also manages the sharing invitation; you do not need to create an account with us.

Provider information

Provider records come from British Columbia's public child care data and are included in the app itself. Looking at a provider, adding one to your tracker, or correcting a provider detail happens on your device and is not reported to 1532432 B.C. LTD..

Messages and email

Childcare Buddy prepares messages in your mail or messaging app, where you review and send them yourself. Childcare Buddy does not send anything on your behalf and cannot access your inbox.

Analytics

Childcare Buddy does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software. Apple may provide us with crash reports or diagnostics if you choose to share that information in your Apple device settings.

Data sharing

1532432 B.C. LTD. does not sell, rent, or disclose household data, because it does not receive it. Your household's application history is never published, aggregated, or contributed to any dataset.

Website hosting

Cloudflare hosts this website and may process basic connection information, such as your IP address, browser information, and the page you request, to deliver the site. We do not use analytics cookies or advertising trackers.

Deleting your data

You can delete Childcare Buddy data from within the app, by removing the app from your device, or by removing its data from iCloud. Because the data lives in your iCloud account, deleting it there removes it; 1532432 B.C. LTD. holds no copy to delete. For help, email info@cs-game-production.com.

Children

Childcare Buddy is intended for use by parents and guardians, not by children. The only information it holds about a child is the birth month and year needed to check age eligibility, plus whatever notes a parent chooses to record.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Childcare Buddy changes. The effective date on this page will be updated when the policy changes.
